Rotterdam is a city of constant change. To reflect on urban developments, the museum "Het Nieuwe Instituut" organized a program called "Rotterdam For Real" which aims to bring city planning closer to the human.

Larissa Mantel and I were asked to conceptualize and develop a web cover for the program.

The web cover is a playful homage to city builder games where one can build a city made from fundamental building blocks: nature and urban elements as well as humans.

The mechanics are pretty simple: Hover over any element to duplicate it and create your own cityscape.
